  1. Hi there please help, I am new to Word Press and I want to add a custom field but can't see where I do it?

It is not obvious on the page where I do it? I have googles it but just can't work it out...

    Thanks,

    H

The blog I need help with is realheavyweather.wordpress.com.

  2. Take note that we cannot edit templates or themes here at wordpress.com and we use certain codes.

As you are new to wordpress.com you will be well served if you read this support documentation entry > http://support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/

Exactly what "custom field" do you want to add and where do you want to add it?

  3. WordPress.COM does not support custom fields. Custom fields are only available in the self-hosted version of wordpress hosted on a third-party hosting service.

  4. ok thanks for the info guys, very useful.

so using wordpress.com i wouldn't be able to do what is outlined here in this document

  5. No you will not.

  6. The instructions are for wordpress.ORG installs. If that's what you want then you will have to hire a web host and get a wordpress.ORG install.
