Custom font (the Bueno theme)

  1. Hello,
    I'd like to add a custom font (lobster) to my blog. As far as I have understood I need to embed the following code:

    <link href='http://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Lobster' rel='stylesheet' type='text/css'>

    in the HTLM on my blog, before add this code: font-family: 'Lobster', cursive; to the place in the in the stylesheet I wish to have the lobster font.

    Problem is I don't know where to add the HTLM code? It that in the stylesheet? If so, where?

    What about "@font face" do I need to use that in order for visitors of my blog to be able read my custom font?

    Thanks a lot!

    Best, Denice

    The blog I need help with is arunningmama.wordpress.com.

  2. Unfortunately you can't edit html on WordPress.com.

    You can read about it int he support doc on Custom Design.

    That doc also explains custom fonts on WordPress.com. If you want to use Google Fonts in your design maybe you should look into a WordPress.org site.

  3. As mrdirby said, you cannot use Google Fonts with WordPress.com. However, WordPress.com supports a limited number of fonts from Typekit.

    The font you specified, Lobster, is not available with the included Typekit selection, but, if you purchase your own Typekit subscription, you can link it with your WordPress.com site, and use Lobster, which is available in any of their subscriptions.

  4. It worked using typekit and changing the CSS. Can't believe it was so relatively easy. Thanks so much!!
