Custom Post Type, Custom Permalink. Possible?

  1. Hi, I am trying to add the year and monthum to the permalink of a custom post type in the regular WordPress format:

    http://mysite.com/2010/09/section/page_title

    What is the best way to accomplish this? Doesn't look like I can insert dynamic values in the register_post_type array such as:

    'rewrite' => array( 'slug' => '%year%/%monthnum%/section');

    I've been trying to get this to work all day, thanks for any help.

    The blog I need help with is tvrecaps.ew.com.

  2. Hello there,
    We provide support on this forum only to blogger who have free blogs being free hosted by wordpress.COM. We cannot change the permalink structure on free hosted wordpress.COM blogs, so this makes me think you may not have read the sticky post at the head of this forum and may be posting to the wrong support forum. http://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/please-read-me-first-before-posting?replies=1

    Bloggers who have blogs hosted by any web host other than wordpress.COM must post to this support forum > http://wordpress.ORG/support/

  3. The site is hosted on wordpress.com, and not for free.

  4. Hosting at WordPress.com is free, therefore your statement doesn't add up. Please provide the URL of the blog in question, starting with http, so we can give answers appropriate for that.

  5. Sorry, meant VIP. Unfortunately can't share the URL as it's password protected.
