Custom posts: Twenty Ten theme

  1. Does wordpress.com version for Twenty Ten theme offer Custom Posts feature? I understand it's in the wordpress.org version.

The blog I need help with is thirdwavecyclingblog.wordpress.com.

  2. Hello there,
What is a "custom posts feature"? I'm sorry but you will have to expand by telling us exactly what you want to accomplish, or by providing a link to wherever you see "customs posts feature".

Could it be static page templates that you are referring to? If so then the Version of the Twenty Ten theme we have at WordPress.com has 3: Default; Archives; and Sitemap.

Or could it be custom menus that you are referring to? If so, then yes the version we have has the custom menu feature http://en.support.wordpress.com/menus/

  3. Okay I located the information and "no" is the answer. "Custom posts" are only available on the WordPress.Org version.

  4. Ok. I better stop analyzing, stop being an adult and be like a child: jump and start playing the mud/sandbox, metaphorically speaking. to test another theme.

  5. There are two Custom post types in the COM version of Twenty Ten: "Asides" and "Gallery". When viewing these posts on the front page of your blog, they will display differently than other posts. The way they are effected is by using these as Categories.
