Customizing Archives Widget

  1. Can I customizing the appearance of the Archives Widget at my site?

The current Archives Widget looks like the following:

Can I change it to a tree format as in the following image?

    Thanks.

The blog I need help with is mygodchristahnsahnghong.com.

  2. Doing that is a bit more than just customizing the appearance. You would need to change functions in order to change a bulleted list into a dynamic tree and that would require editing code other than CSS (which WordPress.com does not offer as an option).

The WordPress.com archives widget does have options to display in a list or a dropdown or to add counts in case either of those things interest you. See http://en.support.wordpress.com/widgets/archives-widget/

There is also an archives shortcode, it doesn't have a tree view either, but it might be useful for displaying a little more of a customized list of archives. See http://en.support.wordpress.com/archives-shortcode/

  3. Thanks for your support.
