I sent out my daily post today (an important local announcement) the ping backs hit my inbox but the actual post didn't. The 'published on date' and time is correct it should've gone out. It didn't suddenly convert to my junk mail box. What can I do to make sure this post goes out. Also how can I switch off the ping backs - do they get issued to subscribers or only to the admin?
The blog I need help with is stroudcommunityweb.com.
Post just came through now at 9am an hour late. Can you tell me why this happened. Will it happen again and is there anything I can do to stop it happening.
Sorry to be a pain but I nearly had a heart attack this morning

Because we publish many, many posts on any given day, scheduled posts can sometimes be a bit delayed. Just to make sure though, do you know if it was exactly an hour late? If it happens again, can you let me know?
As for disabling pingbacks, you can do that on a post-by-post basis:

Yes close enough to an hour I posted it at 8.03am and it was received in my inbox at 9.00:51am.
I was a bit confused as the ping backs came into my inbox as they normally do, within a minute or two of sending out the post.
If it happens again (I'm sure it won't) I'll sit tight and know the post will come out within the hour. I'll let you know...
