Been getting this message all day and the time keeps increasing. It started after I trying enabling (dragging) a site counter widget to my right hand column, don't know if/how that could be related in any way. Thoughts?

Please post an active link starting with http:// to the site your are referring to as I over the course of nigh unto 7 years have never once seen such a "6 hour maintenance message" on any free hosted WordPress.com blogs.

Who are you thanking and what are you thanking that person for?
If you are receiving the same error message then do as I stated above please ie. post an active link starting with http:// to the site you are referring to.
It's when I click the "Dashboard" link at the top of my page:
There's another thread titled "Wordpress > Error" a few threads down and a number of us are having the same problem as well.
