hello, i'm having two problems as of late. one is that the date appears 'swallowed' on my last two posts. you can only see half of it, in firefox. the other is that several readers of mine have complained that they can leave a comment, but that they are unable to like the post. is there anyway to fix this? thank you, rebecca

I am using Firefox 17 and see the dates so I don't know what you mean by "swallowed". Example: Posted on December 14, 2012

The WordPress.com like button is only available for the use of those who have WordPress.com username accounts when they are logged into WordPress.com.

I'm also seeing the full date properly on your blog.
Can you let us know if the readers are WordPress.com users or not? As Timethief says, that may be affecting their ability to "like." If they are users, we will need to take a closer look to make sure nothing strange is going on behind the scenes.

hi there, in both safari and firefox for me, it's 'swallowing' the date. i will upload a screenshot. and it IS wordpress.com users who are logged in who are at times unable to like. i ignored the problem at first, but now it's up to at least half a dozen or more people who say they can't like. for an example, look at the "i am a dummy" post and lance's comment. he was unable to like when logged in, as were many others. thank you for your help. rebecca

yes, it is wordpress.com bloggers and dare i say 'rabid' wp users that it's happening to. i'm guessing it's a problem with my blog because they don't have issues 'liking' anywhere else. the ones i know off the top of my head are carrierubin, 1pointperspective, lance, and there are others. i'll have to comb through my comments for them. i also believe it's inconsistent as to whether or not they can like, in other words, sometimes they can and sometimes they can't. they're pretty savvy users too, so i don't they're not logged in. thank you for your help! rebecca

The screenshot is really helpful - I can't reproduce this, but I'll see if we can figure out why that is happening, along with the problem users are having liking the blog.
I couldn't find a user carrierubin or lance - could you see if those are their correct usernames?
