  1. Good morning! I posted a blog with my email address and website URL. When anyone clicks on them they are brought to a WordPress site with this message: "Not Found. Apologies, but the page you requested could not be found. Perhaps searching will help." Can you help me with this?
    Thanks in advance.

  3. Can you give a link to the post that includes that information to make it easier to troubleshoot?

I poked around and found a post here http://charleybowman.wordpress.com/2011/01/03/the-only-economic-development-calculator/ that had a website link and an email address (not a link). The website link worked for me, although the website it linked to had some formatting issues for me. The email address was not a link.

Best practice encourages the use of a contact form rather than posting your email address on your website and inviting a lot of spam.

That being said, a mailto link is formed in this way:

    <a href="mailto:user@example.com">Email User</a>

    That being said

  4. I have the email link and website link at the bottom of the article.

  5. You have many articles, but the basics apply to any of them.

Check out this support document on creating links:

  6. Houstonweaver: That's the problem. I tried both the link and link symbol on wordpress to create the link. Neither of them worked. I redid the email after I read your first post and that worked for the email address.

  7. Make sure you are using the whole link : http:// yourwebsite.com/

If you don't mind switching to text (HTML) mode on your post tab, you can use this for your link:

    <a href="http://example.com">http://example.com</a>

  8. Thank you. I will try that. I appreciate your help Houstonweaver!

  9. Let me know if that works for you!

  10. Hey Houstonweaver! You are alright!!!! It worked! Thank you so very much for your help. I am very grateful!
    Peace
    Charley

  11. @houstonweaver

  12. @charleybowman So glad it worked for you!

    @timethief Thanks.
