Delete an entry from "MyBlogs

  1. Hi everyone,

I would like to delete the entry for jenny.vg in the "My Blogs" section of my dashboard,
because the blog and the domain was cancelled. How do I do it? Only thing I was able to do
until now, was to hide the entry.

    Thanks for your support

The blog I need help with is www.jenny.vg.

  2. The blog you specified at http://www.jenny.vg does not appear to be hosted at WordPress.com.

This support forum is for blogs hosted at WordPress.com. If your question is about a self-hosted WordPress blog then you'll find help at the WordPress.org forums.

If you don't understand the difference between WordPress.com and WordPress.org, you may find this information helpful.

If you forgot to include a link to your blog, you can reply and include it below. It'll help people to answer your question.

    This is an automated message.

  3. That does not solve the problem.

  4. If this problem concerns a blog hosted here on WordPress.com, then please give us the link starting with http://

If your blog is a self-hosted blog, then you should seek help over at http://wordpress.org/support/

  5. I'm sorry.

But the feature "My Blogs" is a function of wordpress.com not wordpress.org?
And in my thinking the support should come from the one who implements a function,
not from the one who uses it.

In other terms: It's not my blog who implements the function "My Blogs", it's
    wordpress.com.
And I find it very interesting that wordpress.com invites people to set links to
blogs outside of wordpress.com, but if you want to remove these links, they say that's
not our stuff. Would be interesting to see, how fast my question would be answered if the
link would point to offensive content and not to a broken site.

    Just food for thought!

  6. @hjenny, I assume you were using the wordpress.COM blog stats plugin on that self-hosted blog. You will have to contact staff to have that blog removed. It is not something you can do yourself. Give them the details and they will remove it from your account here.

  7. @hjenny - Sorry for my misunderstanding of your problem.

@tsp-thank you very kindly for the catch!

  8. Jennifer, not a problem.

  9. well, I have the same issue. But I will create a new thread instead..

  10. Why?

  11. I thought that would be neat enough... not to mix up the topics..

  12. If you say, this is my problem:

I used wordpress.com stats plugin for many of my self hosted blogs. All those blogs are now added to my wordpress.com account. I want to remove them.

Also, mistakenly, I changed the URL of one blog to yahoo.com (well, I was just testing something in URL rewriting features for selft hosted script.). Now, in my blogs section, it shows yahoo.com/wp-admin :)

So what should I do? Also, why wordpress adds these blogs to my blogs section, if I am only using the statistics plugin?

    Thanks,

    Any sugesstion?

  13. If you have the same issue as you said the answer is found in this thread. If you have another issue that's completely different and cannot find a thread on the forum on that topic then you start another thread.

  14. So what should I do?

Contact Staff and ask for assistance > http://en.support.wordpress.com/contact/

  15. ok. thanks for the suggestion.

But you came here just to tell me this?

I can contact support, but what about the plugin issue? why plugin adds my self hosted blogs to wordpress.com accounts? They are not hosted with wordpress.com.. I was just using the plugin and the API.

  16. ok. Got it.

  17. Good news!

  18. well, just to mention here:

that domain was amrita-rao.in. It was in myblogs section before 5 min. No, when I posted this question, it is removed.
But I have 6 other such domains. Will contact support now..
