Delete blog but not domain

  1. Hi,
I tried to create a blog tonight but hesitated with buying the privacy settings. I used the back button twice and now I have 3 blogs under the domain name: agglorouentransition.org
    1/ agglorouentransition.wordpress.com (which I do not want since it's just "wordpress.com")
2/ agglorouentransitiondotorg.wordpress.com (which is the one I want with the .org)
3/ agglorouentransitiondotorg1.wordpress.com (which is the last one that got created but with a "1" and I would like the 1 to go away

    ==> How do I suppress the 1 and 3?
All 3 seem to be created under agglorouentransition.
However, I want to be able to use that domain name later ...

    Thank you very much,
    Julia

The blog I need help with is agglorouentransition.org.

  2. The registered domain agglorouentransition.org redirects to agglorouentransition.wordpress.com . Do you want your .org domain to go to agglorouentransitiondotorg.wordpress.com instead?

Once the domain redirects to the correct blog, I can remove the other blogs for you.

    Looking forward to your reply.

  3. First, thank you very much for your quick answer.

Actually, agglorouentransition.wordpress is the clearest. I got confused and thought it was directed to the "dotorg1" one since it is what shows up when I type the address.
Would that till enable me to get other themes such as Elemin (to make sure the answer is yes)?
To sum up: keep agglorouentransition.wordpress.com and remove the 2 other ones as long as it keeps the right domain usable.

Also, after I created that blog, I found out that the Plugins were only available for wordpress.org (i.e: Calendars)
In case I manage to install it on my computer and get it to work, would I be able to redirect the domain as well? Is there a "transition time" during which it is easier to proceed?

    Thanks very much,
    Julia

  4. The domain agglorouentransition.org redirects to agglorouentransition.wordpress.com and the other two blogs have been deleted as requested.

We don't allow plugins on WordPress.com for security reasons. Plugins are a feature only available for self-hosted blogs provided through WordPress.org.

However, we do have some really cool widgets. Perhaps one of those might meet your needs.

  5. Thanks!

Yes, I figured that would be the case.
As for the widgets, yes, I have seen those. I miss the Calendar for external events with descriptions of the event though.
I am just at the beginning so I might find upgrade versions later or just adapt :)

    thanks again for the support!
    Julia

  6. We have a Google Calendar and Upcoming Events widget.
