Deleted blog, still appears active

  1. I need to delete the blog that was created a few years back. Constructionpersa, and MarvinPereira ones. I did the >tools, delete blog option last friday and it still appears when searched. For Insurance purposes for my job i need all history and/or web information containing Persa/Marvin Pereira gone. thank you

The blog I need help with is constructionpersa.wordpress.com.

  2. Need to eliminate all blogs that have PersaConstruction, its been over the 48hours, i need to eliminate the blogs

  3. Have you checked you email spam/junk mail folder for the email with the verification link in it?

  4. This thread is now tagged for a Staff follow-up. Please subscribe to it so you are notified when they respond.

Also note that deleting a blog does NOT result in instant deletion of indexed content from the SERPs (search engine pages results). We have no control over that. Bing and Google only flush their caches of indexed content that produces a 404 (page not found) every 3 - 6 months.

  5. i did, i followed the steps and all, if i click on the link though after a google search shouldnt it say page not found or blog deleted.?

  6. Have you checked your email spam/junk mail folder for the email with the verification link in it? Have you clicked that verification link or not?

  7. yes i did that on friday

  8. Okay, then be patient please for as I stated above this thread is tagged for Staff.

  9. ok thank you

  10. If you are referring to this blog then it appears to be deleted:
    persacostructionllc.wordpress.com is no longer available.
The authors have deleted this blog.

Are you referring to another one? If so then post the URL for it please.

  11. http://constructionpersa.wordpress.com/
this one somehow exists, and i followed the same steps to delete it but cant seem to do it

  12. Not to worry as this thread is tagged for Staff and they sort this. Please subscribe to it so you are notified when they respond.

  13. For starters if you can get into the Dashboard - set the blog to "Private" which will keep everyone out while this gets sorted out

Dashboard >> Settings >> Reading >> I would like my site to be private, visible only to users I choose

  14. ~~auxclass
Good thinking. So glad you posted. Now why didn't I think of that?

  15. settings only gives me, Account, Password,Public profile, my apps
    (time thief i have subscribed)

  16. ~~TT - once in a while I think of a good idea :) - on the flip side all of us have suggested to people that they set a blog to Private and not delete it in case they want to use it next year - - and many of the Delete issues are also where the owner can't get into the Dashboard at all - so thinking Private is not really an option -

But having many people helping in the forum helps to bring different ideas to help people

  17. I forgot to post the set your blog to private sentence and you supplied it. Now that's great teamwork. You always think of good ideas. I've seen you post them many times.

  18. dont see the option, just need (all) of them gone so i can resume work...

  19. Are you logging in with the correct account name?

You need to be the blog owner and Admin to delete a blog or change the visibility - it you can't see the option I gave above then you are probably not logged in with the correct account or user name

  20. yes i am logged in

  21. Are you logged in under the exact username account that registered that blog?

  22. someone else created the blog years ago, that person is no longer alive, i had completely forgotten about the site until a few weeks ago when my insurance company contacted me to tell me that they had dropped my insurance because the "site" says i do roofing and they dont cover roofing injuries. So i used my email and "lost password" tool and logged into the account. I deleted the 1st link i posted here, but now somehow a 2nd one appears to be active...i just need all traces and blogs/sites that have Persa Construction eliminated

  23. someone else created the blog years ago, that person is no longer alive, i had completely forgotten about the site until a few weeks ago

Too bad you did not state clearly up front. A blog is owned by the username account that created it and not by anyone else. There is a process for transferring the blog to another username account but one has to be alive to do that. http://en.support.wordpress.com/moving-a-blog/#transferring-your-blog-to-another-user-or-account

As stated previously this thread is tagged for Staff support.

  24. its under my email and name and phone numbers, person did it for me...Persa Construction is my company...i logged in fine and had all the acces to the tools , the 1st link has since been removed but this other one still exists and has all my info.

  25. i logged in fine and had all the acces to the tools , the 1st link has since been removed but this other one still exists and has all my info

If you can log in then you can make the blog private. http://en.support.wordpress.com/settings/privacy-settings/

NOTE: Deleting blog content does not remove indexed content in it from the SERPs (search engine page results). Google and Bing only clear their caches of deleted indexed content that produces a 404 (page not found) every 3 - 6 months. We have no control over that.

  26. Your username, persacostructionllc, is not listed as a user on the constructionpersa.wordpress.com site. Only an authorized administrator can delete a site. To delete your site you need to log in as constructionpersa, the assigned administrator.

If you no longer have access to the login information or the email address associated with this site then unfortunately you will not be able to delete this site. If this is the case I can set the site to private for you if you can provide me with the email address for this user. Setting the site to private will prevent people from accessing any of the content.

  27. i just need the site gone/deleted/not accessible to the public, will setting it to private do any of those?

  28. That's right; private blogs are not accessible to the public. http://en.support.wordpress.com/settings/privacy-settings/ If you can tell me the email address for the username that owns this site then I'd be happy to set it to private for you. Do you need me to?

  29. como fa├žo para excluir o meu blog que acabei de criar?

  30. yes please, should be ([email redacted])
