   Hi, I recently deleted a blog a few hours after creating it due to potential legal issues, but the site was already crawled by Google and is showing at the top of their page rankings for a number of key terms (aaaargh!!!).

   I deleted the page on Thursday and realised I still had info in my profile on Friday which was deleted then.

   On Friday I submitted requests to google for 'outdated page removal' which is still unanswered. I also tried submitting a 'cache removal request' which was denied.

   The blog address now shows a page with 'XXXX.wordpress.com' was deleted' (or similar) with a list of other available blogs to look at.

   Is there anything else I can do with WordPress to have any remnant of this blog removed (eg even the page is deleted comment). I guess based on googles advice I need a 404 or 410 page message at this URL.

   Any advice for having the page removed from google search results super urgently. A lot of this is new to me so I am learning fast :)

   It's ok now, Google cache appears to have been cleared a few minutes ago, phew!

   Just in case someone else refers to your reply in future searches, any request for page/site removal must be done directly with Google.

   Can you make Google remove the copy of my blog?
   Change your blog privacy settings to prevent search engines from re-indexing your content. We have no control over Google. You may submit a request for removal from the Google index once you have properly configured your blog settings.

   As justsjeenifer pointed out above all search enbgine issues are between bloggers and search engines abd we can't help with them. However, I would like to answer your question:

   Any advice for having the page removed from google search results super urgently.

   There is a URL removal tool that we can use in our Goole Webmaster's account only after URL of the page returns a 404 error (page not found) error. Google will investigate and provide an update on the status of your request as soon as possible.
   Important note: The URL removal tool is intended for pages that urgently need to be removed—for example, if they contain confidential data that was accidentally exposed. Using the tool for other purposes may cause problems for your site. When NOT to use the URL removal tool
