Deleted Draft

  1. I deleted the draft I was working on a few minutes ago. Is there any way it can be recovered? I closed the window that it was open in so I can't access the recovery module for the post.

The blog I need help with is lifelibertyandproperty92.wordpress.com.

  2. You have separate trash folders for posts, pages, comments, and uploads. http://en.support.wordpress.com/trash/
    Restoring from Trash > http://en.support.wordpress.com/trash/#restoring-from-trash

  3. No that won't do it. I didn't delete the post, I deleted the content of the post and the saved draft is now empty.

  4. You may be able to recover an earlier post revision. Go to Posts > All Posts, hover over the title of the post, click Edit and check the Post Revisions module for previous saved versions of the post. http://en.support.wordpress.com/posts/post-revisions/

If you're not seeing the Revisions module while on the editor screen, click Screen Options (top right corner of your Admin page) http://en.support.wordpress.com/screen-options/ to activate it. Then select the post and page modules to include them. http://en.support.wordpress.com/modules/#list-of-modules Then you ought to be able to go here > Dashboard > All Posts > Posts and locate the post and recover it from post revisions.

Did you create your post on the dashboard of your own blog?
Dashboard > Posts > All Posts > Add New

Or did you create your post on the front page of WordPress.com?
    http://wordpress.com/#!/post/

  6. I'm sorry you were not able to locate a post revision you could use. This thread is flagged for a Staff follow-up.

  7. I found it. Thank you so much, you saved me a good deal of time and frustration.

  8. Yay! I'm so happy to hear that you found it. You're welcome.
