I changed my domain name on one wordpress site to have it free to use on another wordpress site. Now it says my domain name that I originally changed is taken, even though I just deleted it and now I can't get it back. When I type in the original domain name it says the authours have deleted this blog. Is there a way to get it back after it's been deleted? Thank you.

I'm sorry but reclaiming a deleted blog URL is not possible. It takes bypassing 3 warnings that blog deletion is irreversible and clicking a confirmation link in an email to delete a blog for good reason ie. deleted blog URLs are not recycled.

You can register another blog with a similar name. http://en.support.wordpress.com/register-a-blog/
Or you can register a domain via a domain mapping upgrade and it will not matter what the underlying .wordpress.com address is.
