I've been trying to delete my blog for the last few weeks and the confirmation email doesn't arrive.
I've checked the spam folder, changed my email and it doesn't work. Although, other kind of notifications or confirmation emails arrive perfectly.

It's doesn't bother me, but it could be a bug or something.
It was a wordpress blog installed on my own server, I deleted everything in the server but it seems like I didn't deleted first the blog in the usual way. The weird part is that this blog doesn't appears in http://wordpress.com/#!/my-blogs/
