Deleting homepage duplicated info that appears in other tabbed areas.

  1. How do I delete the duplications on the homepage? I have a Tech Tips tab where two articles are posted. those same articles appear on the Home page. How do erase the homepage content and leave the content intact everywhere else that it appears on the website.? I tried to delete the homepage items and deleted everything else to the trash bin. Was able to restore and it restored to the homepage as well. I need to be rid of the homepage duplication.....please advise..Jame Westrich.....

  2. Your logic is reversed. In fact there is only one page that we can post to in any blog and we cannot prevent any posts we publish from appearing on that one page. By default it's the front page of the blog that all posts appear on.

Though there is only one dynamic page in a blog for posts and we cannot post to more than that one page, we can create the appearance that we have posted to more than one page. We organize posts by assigning Categories to them and when we publish the software automatically displays the posts on dynamic Categories pages.

http://shade-tree-mechanic.net/tips-from-the-mechanic-himself/ is a static page that you created. http://en.support.wordpress.com/pages/ It will never update with posts because it is not a dynamic Categories page.

Delete that static page. You need to create a "Tips" Category and assign it to your posts. When you do that each time you publish a post with that Category assigned to it the post will display on the dynamic Category page.
