    How do I get rid of the word “Administrator” at the top in grey?

    hey guys.. i’ve a little problem here. how to make the 3 columns do not show the whole posting (add the “continue reading” effect)? I know to get a better view while reading, we must click on the title. But many friends of mine didn’t aware about it. So they keep reading (in 3 coulmns format) and complaining that my blog is confusing. Reading a full post with other 2 columns beside, makes you feel a bit dizzy, isn’t it?

    Can someone PLEASE help me? I love this theme, but I cannot get it to work correctly for me. I cannot get the three columns to show first of all. Also, how can I move the widgets around at the bottom under each of these three columns as well. I turned off the tags too, yet they still show (this is okay if I can get the other things to work). Thank you so much for your help. I need a WordPress book for Dummies I believe.

    @tinkerbellsmommakat:

    1. Your three columns show fine.

    2. To change the content of each bottombar, you go to Appearance > Widgets, select “Right”, “Middle” or “Left”, click Show, add or remove widgets, click Save changes.

    3. If your tags still show after you removed them, go to the post editor and click Update Post.

    Thanks panaghiotisadam. I found you suggestion on another forum about changing the width or size of any You Tube video windows to 300. This is what was messing it up. After I changed that, it worked. You saved me. Thanks again.

    i checked the “wordpress should automatically correct html” or whatever in settings / writing. i didn’t post anything up yet (except for one), and still no three column option?

    Regarding an earlier question: In the main page with 3 columns, if I send some post with a youtube video in it, it doesnt automatically shrink like it does in the Fjords04 theme to fit in the column. In stead you can see part of the video. Has anyone got a solution for that?

    I went into the html side of the post editor and changed the numbers for the video (using a calculator to reduce both horizontal and vertical dimensions by the same factor). That worked really well. Try multiplying the standard YouTube height and width by .6 or even .5 for it to fit in the narrow column.

    However, maybe someone has found a way to fix the archives, which do not show all the posts available. If you click on a month, you will get a long page with many of your posts, but if you have a large number of posts for that month, there is not an option to continue to the next page…

    I’ve sent at least one ticket in on that to staff, and not long after it was introduced and never heard anything back on it. Until they fix that, and some other issues, DePo is unusable in my opinion.

    Send the bug report into staff. Perhaps if they get a bunch something will be done: http://support.wordpress.com/contact/

    @fingersmcginty: Re youtube videos, you don’t need the height indication to scale them down. Just write:

    [youtube=URL_HERE&w=300]

    But this way the video will remain small after the post moves off the front page. Perhaps you can then edit it again and remove the width indicator.

    Another solution is to use the “more” tag before the video.

    @pana, that’s another thing that needs to be fixed. Most magazine style themes will automatically downsize images and videos on the front page and then if you go the the full-post page, they are normal size.

    Yes I know and I was just mentioning that it is something staff really needs to fix.

    A friend of mine that is using the theme has sent in a bunch of bugs on DePo and none of them have been fixed yet. It really has a lot of problems.

    Is there any way the categories (under the post titles) of my Depo-themed blog can point back into the blog itself, rather than going to the global wordpress tags page? Can it be done in CSS? If not, can I remove this option altogether? Any help would be great. address: fleeting magazine (dot) com

    having two issues with my DePo:

    1. If I post an image wider than 600px, it gets cut off somehow even when viewing an individual entry.
    ex: http://www.goldwingedlion.com/leoneofsheba/?p=3

    I would like it to remain full size. Any solutions?

    2. I’m having trouble using the “read more” function. Am I doing something wrong or has it been disabled with this theme?
