Did I read what WordPress does, wrong?

  1. I think I may have read what this site can do to help "publish" an article or blog. I thought I read that if you want to post something and not plagarize any of it, that this site was able to "change all the words in your document" so it would not contain the same vocabulary. I know I can always "change the words" in my writing myself, but I wanted to explore trying it out here. Am I lost? Maybe clicked on the wrong link?? Thanks for your help.

  2. WordPress is just blogging software:

This is WordPress.com, which also hosts blogs for free. It doesn't scramble words automatically. Automatic word scrambling will not necessarily protect you against charges of plagiarism; only writing original work will do that. You can refer to what others have reported, you can summarize what they've said, you can even quote from what they've said (moderately), but the procedure in the blogosphere is to always give credit to the source and to link to it as well.

    Misguided perhaps.
