Digg 3 widget title color

  1. Hi everyone,

    First I want to say this forum has been very helpful and I've been playing with CSS customization to the point that I am seriously thinking of buying the upgrade.

    My problem though is the widget title colors for the sidebars in the Digg 3 template. In my customizations I made the side bars gray but the titles remain in white (for example the widget "Recent Posts" would remain highlighted in white while the links below are in the gray background). I can't figure it out. Thanks in advance!

  2. Look in the CSS code for the sidebars. And then look for h3. (At least that is what it is on my theme.)

  3. Thanks for getting back to me Vivian! I tried that though and unfortunately that doesn't seem to work. Has anybody else out there done this customization? It looks to be a popular template. Thanks in advance!

  4. You have to use following format:

    .sidebar ul li h2, .obar ul li h2{
    	color: #bbbbbb;
    }

    (change "bbbbbb" with the colour you prefer)

  5. Hey Isadora! Thanks for the reply, I tried it out but it still doesn't seem to be working. Are the widget titles images?

  6. Could you please write here the code you've been using? The code I gave you changes the text title colour, if you want to change the background you'll have to substitute "color:" with "background-color:"

  7. Here's the code I wrote in:

    .sidebar ul li h2, .obar ul li h2{
    background-color: #EBEBEB;
    }

    Thanks, that worked and changed the background color of the widget titles. However, there are still white boxes surrounding the title - you know how Digg 3 has those green half box lines? That area is still white, even though the rest of the columns are the gray color I changed it too. Thanks Isadora, you're a big help!

  8. Hey Isadora,

    Thanks, I figured it out! It was this code I needed to change:

    .sidebar ul li, .obar ul li{
    margin: 5px 0 0;
    padding: 9px 16px 15px;
    background: url(images/bg_ul_li.gif) no-repeat left top;
    }

    I had to remove the .gif to get what I wanted. Thanks again! I'm definitely going to purchase the css upgrade now.

  9. Glad that it worked! :-)
