Disabling comment notification e-mails as a user

  1. I am currently not following any blogs. I've turned off all the e-mail settings I can find. Yet I STILL receive hundreds of e-mails notifying me of every. single. new. comment. on a post I comment once on.

I'm looking on the settings page, and I don't see any options to change this. The help pages have lots of information as to how a blog's owner can disable e-mail notifications, but nothing I can find on how a blog's reader can do the same. As a user, is there any way I can avoid waking up to over a hundred e-mails in my inbox from this?

  2. As a clarification, it seems like I accidentally selected "notify me of follow up comments" once, and I'd like to cancel this.

  3. A comment in someone else's thread cleared this up for me. In case anyone else is having the same problem, go to https://subscribe.wordpress.com/ .

  4. Hi, are you a wordpress blogger, too by any chance? I can help you (I think) if you are. :)

  5. Oh, that's what I was going to post about, too.
    'Bulk actions' are heaven-sent. :)
