disappearing page

  1. Recently, my Kubrick theme deleted itself. It has now put itself back together, for which I am grateful. However, the opening page About... has disappeared entirely.
    What to do?

The blog I need help with is ppag.wordpress.com.

  2. Sorry, but I don't understand. Kubrick is a very old theme and it did not support navigation tabs, nor does it support a custom top navigation menu. What I mean is, how did you have an "about" page there at all?

There is now a modlook tag so staff can take a look at what's going on.

  3. Hi there wgsutm66,

I don't see an about page in your Pages (not in the trash, I mean), so I suspect you mean that you had a static front page, and then your posts went to a different page?

If so, you will need to set this up here:
    https://ppag.wordpress.com/wp-admin/options-reading.php

Right now your Homepage and your Posts page are the same - they have to be different. If you want people to navigate to your blog and first see a little information about your organization but NOT your posts, you want to set up a page specifically for that, and set it as your homepage. Then you will need to designate a different page for your posts page.

Once you've done that, scroll allll the way to the bottom and click save!

This should take care of the issue.

    Cheers!

There was a mysterious Kubrick issue the cainm dealt with recently. See here > http://en.forums.wordpress.com/tags/kubrick

  5. Thanks for the update! I'll advise the team that this could be related.

  6. Thank you, thank you, zandyring. Followed your instructions and the page came back!
    Happiness is ours at http://ppag.wordpress.com

  7. You're welcome.

  8. I'm so glad it worked out for you!
