Displaying comment on actual blog post page

  1. I want to have comments displayed below the post, not a link that say Commments(2). I want my readers to be able to see the comments, threads not to have to click to see them. Is this possible with WordPress?

The blog I need help with is epiphanyblogsj.wordpress.com.

  3. Imagine being a visitor visiting a blog with hundreds of posts each with and many comments displayed beneath them. One would have to scroll for miles.

Unless you use the P2 theme which is a Twitter-like theme, know that the front pages of our blogs "showcase content" and comments are collapsed on that page. You cannot change this. The way the comments function is coded into the core of WordPress. By clicking the post title or the comments link the posts on the front page open on their own page where all comments display.

I am new, just started my blog (DetailsInNature), and am very excited about it. I am using the Twenty Ten theme, and have the same question, found answer on this forum.

But, for some time I have been following someone else's blog, and they use the same Twenty Ten theme, and in their blog the comments are in fact displayed without clicking a link to ask for them. See here:

So how can I set my settings to display comments on opening the blog as this one is doing? I do not expect a ton of comments, mostly from friends, and I would like my friends to see each others' comments without having to click first.

    Thanks for any advice/support

  5. That is a blog POST. This is the link to the blog itself http://smallpebbles.com/ and as you can see, comments are not visible there.

Thank you for such a quick response! It is clear to me now. I am a beginner so learning my way around, so sorry for what might be a dumb question.

  7. You're welcome from me.
