Displaying Custom Excerpts

  1. Hi All,

I currently have new posts publish to a blog page, and use the 'more' tag to make them shorter.

    Here's a link to the blog page > http://jamesborrell.co.uk/blog/

I also write custom excerpts and much prefer these, at the moment I manually put them on my home page which looks nicer but is time consuming...

    Link > http://jamesborrell.co.uk/

Is there a way of making the blog page display my custom excerpts? I searched a lot of sites for an answer, but it mostly comes up with .org information, which is a bit beyond me I'm afraid.

Alternatively, is there a way of making my home page automatically retrieve each custom excerpt when I publish.

    Any thoughts much appreciated.

    Thanks,

    James

The blog I need help with is jamesborrell.co.uk.

  2. There are a few themes here that will show your custom excerpts on the main blog page, but not all of them do. Take a look at this post by Panos which shows which support excerpts on the main post page.

  3. Thanks, I'll have an experiment with some other themes.

  4. You are welcome.
