displaying different text when cursor hovers above link

  1. Hi, right now when the cursor hovers over a link, the text within the link is repeated in the little yellow popux box. Is there a way to change it so something informative about the link?

  2. You don't mention if these are tags within your posts or within the links within your sidebar.

What you're looking at is contained within the title portion of the anchor tag. If you wish to add it to your posts, please include the title portion of the <a> tag.

If you want to add it to a link within your links list, fill in the Short description bit for the link within your Dashboard.

    Hope this helps,

  3. It is the links under the Pages header. They don't seem to have a "short description" field the way Websites do. It would be enat if one could display some snippet of info about the page.

    Thanks

  4. I get a mouseover under the Pages header. It's just the title of the page though.

Would probably require a rewrite of the pages/ posts section of the code as it would mean adding in a sub-title or description to the page. Probably should bring this up with the developers over at WP.org.

    Good luck,

I, too, would like to be able to have a mouseover tip that gives a bit of info about each Page. If either of you find out how to do this, I'd like to know. I'll return to let you know if I discover a way.

    Thanks for the info here!
