Displaying featured images in pages (Inuit Types)

  1. I have Inuit Types themes installed and the pages (categories) that I added do not display the featured image or the entire post. It would be great if I could get it to do this, since one of the categoris is "photo" and anyone who clicks on it just sees a list of titles now.

The blog I need help with is alairene.wordpress.com.

  2. I do not know why it was changed, but the blog I was talking about is http://alairene.wordpress.com/ not the one that is linked to my user.

  3. There are theme options. You will find them on this page and describing them to you will take more words and time than your clicking buttons and trying them will. :) Appearance > Themes > Theme Options

    Look for these >
    Inuit Types Options
    Color scheme
Sidebar on the left or right? Show sidebar content on the left.
    Featured Post Entries
    One Column Featured Posts
    One Column Normal Posts
    Single Post Featured Image

  4. Thank you for answering me. I have gone through all that you have mentioned and have already figured how they work.
My problem is not regarding the main page - I guess you have looked at it - but on the other pages. There are three on my blog - "yummy", "hai-hui" and "photo". If you go there, you'll see that there are no photos. As I was saying before, the first two are ok even without, but the third...
I have looked in Menu and Pages settings and I couldn't find a way to make the above-mentioned pages look like the main one.

  5. You have to edit the posts and set the featured image. Open the editor of the post or page where you want to display a unique custom header image, and locate the Featured Image module in the bottom right corner under Page Attributes. Click "Set featured image".
    See here > http://en.support.wordpress.com/featured-images/#setting-a-featured-image

  6. Sorry. Please ignore this phrase above "where you want to display a unique custom header image"

Edit: Open the editor of the post and locate the Featured Image module in the bottom right corner under Page Attributes. Click "Set featured image".
    See here > http://en.support.wordpress.com/featured-images/#setting-a-featured-image

After you do that then you can go to Theme Options and make your selection of numbers of featured posts to display in the dropdown here > Featured Post Entries

  7. Thank you.
I have done all that and it is not what I was asking. But I have managed to find the answer by following your first link and reading through half the blog :)
    It is here http://wpbtips.wordpress.com/2009/03/25/full-posts-in-archive-pages/

  8. DANG! I didn't understand what was what you were asking. If I had I could have told you instantly. I'm so happy you found the answer on your own.
