Displaying Similar Widgets?

  1. I have been looking everywhere for them and can't seem to find it. (Note: I see that I can add an email subscription box, but I would like on that looks like the one specified.) Does WordPress.com support these widgets?

The blog I need help with is stylemoodboard.wordpress.com.

  2. No. This is what WordPress.com provides:
    blog subscription widget > http://en.support.wordpress.com/widgets/blog-subscription-widget/
    enable blog subscriptions > http://en.support.wordpress.com/blog-subscriptions/

  3. You can set up Publicize and publish to your Twitter profile page > http://en.support.wordpress.com/publicize/
You can also enable sharing buttons on your posts, pages and index pages.
    Also note the “like” button.

  4. So there are no widgets exactly like the one specified?

  5. Where did you see that widget?

  6. You can use the subscription widget: http://en.support.wordpress.com/widgets/blog-subscription-widget/

You can use the RSS links widget: http://en.support.wordpress.com/widgets/rss-links-widget/

You can make a twitter follower widget using a text widget and the procedure outlined in this support document: http://en.support.wordpress.com/twitter-follow-button/

  7. You could even hand-code the RSS link and image into the same text widget with the twitter follower button.

  8. I saw these widgets at: http://couturelust.com
What do you mean by hand-coding the RSS link and image? Can you help me with that?

  9. This support document outlines a procedure that lets you use the post editor to create the code: http://en.support.wordpress.com/links/text-widget-links/ .

You can find a lot of free RSS icons online that you can use.

  10. Also, couturelust.com is a self-hosted wordpress site and what is possible with a self-hosted site is different from here. There are more code restrictions and such here due to the fact that this is a multi-user platform. That means we all share the same underlying files. If one person introduced some bad code, it could conceivably bring down millions of sites.
