Hi, I want my blog to be private - on an invite-only status, but I don't want my followers to be forced to create an account with WordPress in order to receive notifications when I update my blog. I saw in the "Support" section that followers don't have to create an account to follow a blog, but when I sent an invite out, the email required that person to create an account. Is this just because I am on the Private setting? Is there any way around this?

Any person you invite to view your private blog who doesn't have a WordPress.com account will have to create one.
