Do tags have to be visible on my blog?

  1. I don't like the tags being publicly visible at the bottom of my post, do they have to be visible? I can't find where to make them not show.

The blog I need help with is susan-hawthorne.com.

  2. There are two or three themes that allow you to hide them, or you can buy the custom design upgrade and use CSS coding to hide them.

  3. Tags and categories which are treated the same way by search engines are not required for SEO purposes. Watch the Matt Cutts (Google) video here > http://onecoolsitebloggingtips.com/2012/03/01/revisiting-keywords-and-tags/ All search engine spiders use them for is to compare them to your text in posts. If the keyword in the tag is not in the text in post they suspect you are a tag spammer. Tags and Categories are for your visitors convenience. By clicking them they find every post assigned to the same category or tag in your blog.

Unless you use the iNove theme or the Monochrome theme to hide Tags you need to purchase an annually renewable custom design upgrade and o the required CSS editing.
