   I have a website through a different company, but wanted to have a blog to share with all my customers. After doing a little research I choose to created one through wordpress. Do the search engines acknowledged that example.wordpress.com belongs to my site? When I am searching in the search engines for my company, my website is appears, but my blog does not. I want it to have an effect on my seo, so do i have to change my domain to example.com/blog for that to happen or is it fine the way it is?

   The blog I need help with is sdphotographyanddesign.wordpress.com.

   You want to map a subdomain i.e. "blog.your-domain-name.com"

   http://en.support.wordpress.com/domain-mapping/map-subdomain/

   Then your search engine references all go to the same base domain name.
