Does "No Ad" get rid of ads in email notifications to Subscribers and Followers?

  1. If I upgrade to "No Ads," will that get rid of the ads in e-mail notifications to my subscribers and followers, too? I've only read that the ads will be removed from the blog itself. I'm very concerned about the videos that are showing up in the email notifications. The site I'm referring to is http://365intheword.wordpress.com/

The blog I need help with is 365intheword.wordpress.com.

  3. Hi there, fbc365,

Could you take a screenshot of these video ads you're seeing? We don't include ads in any emails, so I'd like to see what it is you're seeing.

Here's a bit more information about how to take a screenshot:

You can add the screenshot to your media library and I can check it there. Just let me know when you do so!

    Cheers!

  4. I (the designer) initiated the question on behalf of my client (the blogger) because I couldn't see the ads they were referring to. When I inquired further, they explained that the link to the blog in the email was actually what sent them to the ads, and that the ads weren't in the e-mail itself, as I previously understood. No wonder I couldn't reproduce the issue. As I inquired FURTHER, they said the ads were above and below the blog on the blog page (>_<). So, I guess nevermind. I'm thinking that upgrading to the "No Ad" option will get rid of those pesky ads. Sorry.

Not necessarily. Ask them if anyone can see those ads. For that matter, can you see them?

It's possible it's a problem with their browser.

  6. Anyone else that should be.

  7. I was never able to find the ads, even while I was logged out. We purchased the "No Ads" upgrade a few minutes ago, so we'll check it out tomorrow to see if the ads are gone. It's snowing here, so everyone went home! Thanks for your prompt response.

  8. Ok, just keep us updated :)
