Does wordpress allow for credit card transaction functionality?

    Hi,

    As the topic suggests, me and my buddy are thinking about using wordpress for an e-commerce site for a small business. Does wordpress allow for credit card transaction functionality? Either through paypal or some other way.And a transactions database for order history. Thanks!
