Domain doesn't match up

  1. I registered from my blog with the intention of upgrading to have my own domain name.
After setting up my blog, I decided on a new domain name.
I didn't realize that the domain name has to match the prefix of the blog name.
After reading the support site, I concluded that I could have an existing domain name and use that for my blog.
After purchasing the domain name on another site, and using the WordPress name server info, it still wouldn't let me use the domain that I want with the blog I already have.
Am I able to use a different domain name with a blog that already exists? Or do I have to set up a new blog in order to use the domain name I now own?

    Thanks!

The blog I need help with is divinelynatural.wordpress.com.

  2. The domain that you purchase and map to your WordPress.com blog can be as similar or different from your username.wordpress.com URL as you like.
