domain mapping issue: old site homepage is still coming up when i type in addrss

    i have recently mapped my domain name to my wordpress blog. http://www.caseprint.co.uk (WP blog is caseprint.wordpress.com)

    when I type that address into the address bar my old website home page comes up and then when i click on the page it takes me to a WP page that says 'oops we are encountering a problem' or words to that effect.

    when i entered the URL into WP to purchase the upgrade i did not type www. at the beginning of the address and i think this may be the problem as when i type http://caseprint.co.uk the address works in safari, but not firefox.

    Any thoughts or is this just a glitch that will work itself out...?

    Hi there, your domain mapping is working fine. Adding it as "caseprint.co.uk " was correct.

    When you update nameservers, it can up to 72 hours for the changes to propagate across the internet (usually much less), and in that timeframe you might see the old site loading.

    Let me know if you are still experiencing issues with loading your domain.

    Hi Jenia,

    I have just been having another look at my site and when I type the address in on any browser not on my computer it works fine and the right pages come up. On my mac, when I enter the address into firefox my old homepage still comes up. If you think this is just something that is happening for whatever reason on my computer then that's fine, I just wanted to check why this might be happening.

    Try clearing your browser's cache on the Mac: http://en.support.wordpress.com/browser-issues/

    If that doesn't work, try clearing the DNS cache: http://www.opendns.com/support/article/68
