   Hello,

   The person that originally purchased the domain mapping upgrade for williameasterly.org (williameasterly.wordpress.org) is now living in India and cannot be reached. I read that the person that originally owned the upgrade has to renew the upgrade himself, or transfer that upgrade to another administrator. Because I cannot get in contact with him abroad, he cannot transfer the upgrade to me. How can I renew the domain without him transferring the upgrade?

   Thank you!

   I'm sorry, the original domain name was williameasterly.wordpress.COM

   The original owner has to renew it, or request that it be transferred to another user.

   Alternatively, you could wait for it to expire and purchase the upgrade yourself.

   Is there anyway sort of 'emergency override'? The owner is in India where 600 million people have lost power and we have not been able to reach him. We also can't wait for it to expire because it is the website of the director of our institute.

   Unfortunately, no, we cannot go around a user's ownership of an upgrade.

   The mapping will expire August 31, so there's still a chance that you'll be able to get in touch with him before it expires.

   If not, you can re-purchase it on August 31.
