Domain name is not correct, and how to upload custom theme?

  1. Why is that I purchased stoutabout.com but stoutabout.wordpress.com continues to come up when I am working on the site? I do not want stoutabout.wordpress.com at all.... how do I get rid of it?

Also, I purched a custom theme; how do I load it onto wordpress so I can start using it??

The custom theme is wordpress traveller photo blog.

    Thanks

  2. re: domain mapping
Has 72 hours passed yet? It can take that long for a domain name change to propagate throughout the internet.

    re: third party theme

The only themes we can use on free hosted WordPress.com blogs are found here > Appearance > Themes and there are 200 of them
    see also > http://theme.wordpress.com/

There is no FTP access to free hosted WordPress.COM blogs and we cannot install plugins, upload third-party themes or edit templates or themes. Those found on the internet are for WordPress.ORG installs which run on different software.

There is no upgrade you can purchase from WordPress.com that changes anything stated here http://support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/ and restated again here > http://en.support.wordpress.com/domain-mapping/#important-notes-before-upgrading and restated again here > http://en.support.wordpress.com/custom-design/#frequently-asked-questions

To use a third party theme you will have to hire a web host and set up a self hosted WordPress.org install.

  3. I have the strong desire to make the blog useful for blind and visual handicapped visitors.
There is a free Readspeaker plugin available, but as stated it can not be used in wordpress.com, because we can not upload plugins.
Switching from .com to .org is not an easy thing to do and a lot of stress for the average user of .com
Is there any way to accomplish that "the same folks on wordpress.org" would be willing to help the blind by installing this plugin for all to use on .com?
