Domain name lost in transfer

  1. Hi,

I recently moved my site http://www.clodaghobrien.com to wordpress.org with Bluehost as my new host. We have followed all the paths in the transfer but according to my new host the servers are still not redirected to them. I have tried to do it on the domain section in the website but there is no administration button and my domain name has vanished. Can you help me to redirect name servers?

The blog I need help with is clodaghobrien.wordpress.com.

  2. I'm still seeing clodaghobrien.com as having WordPress.com nameservers.

Are you following these instructions to update your nameservers to point to your new webhost:

    http://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/change-name-servers/

  3. We have tried everything. The domain name says it is pending in wordpress.com with no option to change the nameservers. I have a screenshot of it, but am unable to attach it to this post. What are the next steps in this scenario?

  4. You can use this to post screenshots http://snag.gy/

  5. I have gone through all the stages. The issue is there is no manage option in the Domain Details screen, it just has updated. It will also not allow me to edit in the unlock function and is listed as pending.

    Hi @clodaghobrien

What are the name server settings you need to add? I can probably help with that.

Or perhaps I have you wrong, and you are trying to transfer your domain to another registrar (rather than manage it here) in which case the steps are different, but can help you with that too.

Let me know how you would like to proceed or if you have any questions.

  7. If you could that would be great! I'm trying to change the name servers from wordpress to ns1.bluehost.com and ns2.bluehost.com. Is that something you can do?

    Thanks.

    Hi there,

From what I can see your domain has finally been successfully transferred, and the name servers updated to bluehost.

    See: http://who.is/whois/clodaghobrien.com

Let me know if you need assistance or if you have any questions.
