domain name upgrade

  1. Recently upgraded my domain from a .wordpress.com site to a .com, I am noticing when I search for my site in Google it still comes up as a .wordpress site. Is there any way to correct this so my site no longer shows .wordpress when it is searched for in various search engines?

The blog I need help with is ginaiaciofano.com.

  2. Google clears their caches every 3 - 6 months. Those .wordpress.com links will all direct to your fomain when clicked -- that's what domain mapping does. In about 4 months time Google will have reindexed your site content under the domain URLs. There is not way to expedite the reindexing process.
