Domain transfer

    I am considering purchasing a prem package but do not want to map my current domain name I have purchased at GoDaddy.

    I already pay a yearly fee at go daddy and do not want to pay a yearly fee on top of that to map my domain. Can I just transfer my domain name to WP?

    I do not have a webpage with godaddy just a domain name that needs to be transferred.

    WordPress.COM is not set up to accept incoming domain name transfers, the domain name will need to stay registered not here.

    So yes to a certain extent you will pay “twice” if you buy a bundle that includes domain name registration, the good news is that is all of $ 5.- / year – or if you applied to discount equally across the board, depending on the package, you might be out $ 3.50 / year or so – for the “double payment”
