Domains and DNS Control

  1. Heya! I'd love to point my domain (peat.org) at my blog (peat.wordpress.com), but I can't give up control of the DNS and mail for that domain.

It would be really neat if I could set up a CNAME record to alias my domain, instead of handing over complete DNS control. I think Shopify uses something similar, and it works great.

And, of course, I'd be happy to pay for that capability. :)

  2. You could cname a subdomain over here like blog.peat.org

  3. hello i am purchased domain which is soupsguide.com and pointing to soupsguide.wordpress.com but when i write soupsguide.com it is redirecting to soupsguide.wordpress.com but i want to show my main domain which is "soupsguide.com" not soupsguide.wordpress.com.

  4. When you look at the Dashboard -> Upgrades -> Domains page, you'll see a link labeled something like "Put blog here". Click on that. That will change your default.
