Double Home Page

    Hi all,
I would like to have my blog so that I have in effect two 'home' pages.
The first would be for my posts (such as it is now).
The second would be for other bits of writing (poems, stories etc currently found on my 'musings' tab)
I would ideally like both pages to post my bits of writting like it does on my home page - with each post assigned to a specific day and with it's own category and tags.
Is this possible? If there is already an answer out there I would appreciate being pointed in its direction.
    Many thanks,
    Lizzie

The blog I need help with is shininglikeadiamond.wordpress.com.

  2. Hello,
We always need a link to the blog in question starting with http:// so we can provide relevant advice. Two Home pages is not possible. There is only ONE running page for posts in a blog. That's usually the front page but it can be changed to another static page if you wish. On that single running pages all post you publish and assign categories and tags to will appear in reverse chronological order. Also note that whenever we publish a post it automatically appears on the Archives and on the Category pages in accord with the categories we assigned to the post.

I believe that what you are aiming for is to create a custom menu for your top navigation. If so then do note that only some themes have this feature:
Provided that you change to a theme that does have the custom menus feature you can achieve what you want to do.

Have you ever wanted to have a different title for one of your pages than the label displayed in your site’s navigation?
Ever wanted to change the order of the list of pages to an order you chose yourself?
Ever wanted to be able to mix pages, categories, and random links in your navigation instead of your theme deciding for you?
If you answered yes to any of these questions, you’re in luck! The new custom menus feature will do all those things.

The themes that have this feature are listed here along with instructions for setting up a custom menu.

Currently, the following themes have this feature enabled: Twenty Ten, Structure, Vostok, Bueno, Enterprise, Notepad, Paperpunch, MistyLook, Under the Influence, Vigilance, Greyzed, Wu Wei, Blix, Freshy, Contempt, Ambiru, Digg3, Koi, Modularity Lite, Coraline, Oulipo, Ocean Mist, Tarski, Rounded, Albeo, Regulus, Andrea, Inuit Types, K2 Lite, iNove, and Fusion. http://en.support.wordpress.com/menus/
