edit directions given for follow widget

  1. Is there a way to edit the message that is given after someone clicks the subscribe button on the follow widget? It says something like, "check your e-mail to confirm this subscription". I need to translate that into Russian. The site is set to RU but this comes up in English.

The blog I need help with is adygheinjil.wordpress.com.

  2. If you go to Appearance > Widgets in your dashboard, you will see there is a Follow widget assigned to one of your widget areas.

If you expand he settings of that widget, you will be able to change every bit of text that appears on the Follow widget.

    I hope that helps!

  3. I see that. However, after a user clicks the subscribe button a new message appears telling them to check their email for verification. Is there a way to change that message?

  4. No. They still have to check their email for verification.

  5. Unfortunately, that message has not been translated to your language yet.

Luckily, you can help by proposing a translation:

I believe you are referring to that text. If you are logged in with your WordPress.com, you can propose a translation, and once it has been validated by a Russian validator, it will appear on all Russian WordPress.com blogs.

You can learn more about translating WordPress.com on that page:

  7. Thank you. I will do that.
