When I update (edit) my blog - specifically adding tags and categories to a post I reblogged - the editing does not take, that is the blog does not update with my added categories and tags. This has been going on for a couple weeks now.

If you could take a peek at my blog – aloveforvietnam.com – you’ll see the last two, or the two most recent posts, only have one category listed – Vietnam, and no tags. Scrolling down you’ll notice the other posts have numerous categories listed, as well as several tags.
I have done the same procedure since day one, I will be the first to say I am not a expert at websites at all, but you’ll notice I post, and then add categories, as well as tags, fairly consistently.

Are you composing a post, then updating that post with your tags and categories, then re-publishing?
Thank you for helping... OK, typically I am "sharing" a photo from flicker. When I share the photo to my WordPress account there are no tags and only one category is preassigned or automatically selected. After the pic has been posted (sometimes a few hours - sometimes a few days later, I go to edit the post, and from the dashboard - posts - all posts. From this viewpoint I can see all the resent posts that need categories and tags added. I hit the edit button for the post in question, and add (check off additional categories) and add tags - Vietnam, Vietnamese, and so on. I make the changes and click "save" and up until the last few posts the changes would take, now the changes are not taking - sticking. As you can see the last three posts have no tags and only one category.

Thank you for the description, that's really helpful.
Would you try a slightly different flow? I want to see if I can pinpoint the issue by having you try to add tags/categories in a different manner.
Go to Posts > All Posts
Select the checkboxes for those first three posts
From the Bulk Actions drop-down menu above the top post, select "Edit" and click "Apply"
Check the categories you'd like to add, and enter the tags you'd like to apply
Click the blue "Update" button
Let me know the result!
(This process assumes that all three posts will have the same categories and tags - if this isn't the case, you can instead select them one at a time in the same way).
