Editable content from viewers

  1. Hey guys,

So I am designing a webiste for my church in which the members who have iPads smartphones and other tablets can view the sermon notes from the webiste. I have designed the website and the church board loved it, but here is the problem: I would like the viewers to be able to fill in the blanks instead of just viewing blanks to where they should be able to fill in them. The website is lakewoodccipad.wordpress.com. Take a look.

Any recommendation or a reference would be helpful. I would still like to be able to a link in the sermon notes to be able to go to outside sights as well as maybe inbreeding video, but the ability for them to be able to fill in the blank is the first priority.

    Thanks to any help.

    Samuel

The blog I need help with is ftrsmusicworld.wordpress.com.

  2. Hi there,
I'm sorry but the main dashboard isn't designed to work with touch devices through the tablet and smartphone browsers. This is the link for the ios forum > ipad > http://ios.forums.wordpress.org/forum/how-to-and-troubleshooting

  3. They can just copy the entire post and paste it in the comments on that post and fill in the blanks there. That should work on mobile devices, no login necessary.

  4. Brilliant!

  5. I really do like that idea

  6. But is there a way that the notes could already be in a text box or form?

  7. Since they're going to copy-paste them, it hardly matters. You can't have prefab forms in your comments section.

You could tinker with a contact form, but the filled out form is emailed to you, not displayed on the blog http://en.support.wordpress.com/contact-form/

  8. It looks more like you need a custom web and/or mobile app for this kind of user interaction.

  9. I'm pretty sure just a blank text box will work fine. Any one got an HTML code?

  10. No, a blank text box won't work. That kind of code is stripped out at WP.com for security reasons. Your choices are: a form that is emailed to you but not displayed publicly or the workaround with the copy/paste I mentioned above.
