Editing stickies.

    I have a post set as a sticky (Satirical comment) on my blog http://annaraccoon.wordpress.com

    I have now copied the post to another page and wish to release the sticky.

    I have found the edit button, click on edit visibility and update, but it just reverts back again - it is as though the edit facility isn't working in this respect.

    Am I being thick?

    After clicking the edit visibility button, did you deselect "stick this post to the front page." and then click the "OK" button and then click the update post button?

    Interesting, it didn't give me that option!
    When I click on the edit button, the 'sticky' word just disappears - thats it.....
    Then I hit update post.
    There must be something wrong, because I'm not getting the option to 'deselect' - what can I do?

    I see what you mean sacredpath - but that's not what I see - I just get the top half of the box, as far as the visibility edit button. Like I say when I click on the edit button it just disappears, but nothing else shows up.

    I did see that box when I first made it a sticky - but it gorn now!

    Is there a patch or an update for this sort of glitch?

    Try logging out of wordpress, clear your browser cache and cookies, restart your browser and then try again. It may be a cache or cookie issue.

    Also, what browser and browser version are you using?

    I use Safari for PC.

    I did try clearing cookies, even defragged the machine, cos I'm also having a problem with loading photographs.......now I come to think of it a vaguely similar problem! They appear to load but the drop down box doesn't appear that allows you to click on insert in blog or whatever it says......hmmn.

    I think I'll close down for the night, clear all the caches and try again in the morning.
