Email Invites Not Arriving

  1. EMail invites from WordPress.com are not being received. They are not being filtered and consigned to spam; they do not seem to be arriving at the mail server.
    I sent invites for viewer and for editor roles, neither arrived.
    A test email to the same email address as used in the invite, sent from a different email account, arrived in seconds.
    The email address of the invited user is not currently a WordPress registered user email, so having email notifications turned off is not the cause of this issue.
    The blog is currently private [hence no link] while under development.

  2. You have two separate email address settings at WordPress.com.

    Blog notifications for the admin (like comment moderation, Likes, new subscriptions, etc) are sent to the email address at Settings -> General in the Dashboard.

    Personal notifications (like comments on your post, subscription emails, and upgrade renewals) are sent to the email address at Users -> Personal Settings in the Dashboard.

  3. I only see one invite sent from you for an Editor role. Would you please try deleting and re-sending it?

  7. Ok, I made a slight tweak on this end, so please delete and re-send one more time.

    If you're still having trouble, please check the email's spam folder.

  8. I repeated the delete-resend procedure - still no incoming email.

    Then I checked the spam folder, even though I had white-listed "[email redacted]" and there it was!

    The email came from "[email redacted]" :) d'oh
