   I can't find my problem in the help articles. I am new and have 4 blogs. I use the primary one for following other blogs. When I am asked to enter my email address, I am told that it is not recognized. I type and retype it and keep getting the same message. My email is [email redacted] my blog is Glad to Be Alive and the address is jackieGTBA2013.wordpress.com. I just sent an email to this address and it comes out well. I have looked at my settings and all looks fine. I am logged in under jackieshine2013. I think I may have things mixed up because I didn't know what I was doing (and still don't) when I started this last month.

   Following a blog simply means clicking a link to make that blog show on your Reader or to receive emails to your own email address (which is the one that you've already given) when someone posts in the blog you've followed. You don't need to enter an email to do that. The thing you generally need an email for is to log in to your account (or accounts if your blogs are on separate ones). So are you saying that the email address you normally use for your primary account is not being recognised, or what? I don't quite understand what you mean when you say that you're asked to enter your email address to follow a blog. Could you be more specific please about what screen you see or what part of the site you're in when you are asked to enter your email address?

   (By the way, you can't type email addresses in the forums, they are automatically removed).

   thank you for your answer
   this morning i updated my gravatar profile adding my email
   then i tried to follow this blog that requested an email and this time i did not get rejected... is it coincidence?
   here is the site i tried and you will see that
   email is asked for to follow it ...
