Email Subscription

  1. Hi All,

Quick question relating to the email subscription 'sign up' button that you can have as a widget.

Works great, however as I post more frequently, I'd like to just send a monthly newsletter of my posts.

I can see their email addresses stored on the 'stats' page, so I can write to them if I like, but how do I let them sign up, whilst stoping wordpress from sending an email for every article?

    Any thoughts much appreciated.

    Many thanks,

    James

  3. Hi,

Thanks for the reply, but I'm afraid that doesn't answer my question.

With the standard 'sign up' followers receive an email for every post. I would like to turn this off and send a monthly newsletter instead.

    James

  4. That is not possible. Only the subscriber can set the frequency of posts at which she wants to recieve your posts via email. http://en.support.wordpress.com/following/#manage-the-blogs-i-follow If you post monthly --your subscribers will get email-updates monthly. No new post means no email to them----but if you post they should get.
