Embed Flickr Images

  1. Why can't I embed my Flickr photos into WordPress? Embedding using the HTML codes provided by Flickr has worked for years on my WordPress blogs until very recently? Now when I put in the code, it is stripped and I only get a URL link but not the photo on my blog.

I use my Flickr photostreams to store all of my image content and remotely embed them to my WordPress.com blogs so that I don't hit any storage limit. Has worked for years. Why the change???

    Very frustrating.

The blog I need help with is melsmacintoshuniverse.wordpress.com.

    Hello!
Initially, I thought that this might be some problem associated with Flickr's recent redesign, but I tried to embed an image from my Flickr page (using both the 'Grab link, and the 'Grab the HTML/BBCode' functions), but I can't seem to get it to work with my blog either. I should note that I don't typically embed images from Flickr, but I wanted to give it a try.

I followed the instructions here, which appear to be up-to-date:

  3. Please paste the actual CODE here between code tags so we can look at it. I believe but am not certain that Flickr recently switched to iframes, which will never work here. You'll have to download the image and upload it to your blog if they use Iframes.

  4. A few months back Flickr changed how their links worked, so we had to modify things on our end. Please refer to the instructions brandonconverse linked to for the most current information. If you still need help, please point me to a specific post or location where you are trying to embed your photostream and I will take a look.
