Embedding & resizing VIMEO in WordPress 2.7 Ambiru theme

  1. Hello everybody -

I've tried several times to post a large VIMEO plus video into my WP2.7 Ambiru blog. I tried posting some combination of the following into the post box (both HTML & Visual), through ADD VIDEO, and nothing seems to work correctly. It resizes the stage width-wise, but not the video. Take a look at some stuff I've tried to post -

    [vimeo 3255332 w=872&h=480]

    [vimeo 3255332]

    [vimeo vimeo.com/ object width="872" height="480"><param name="allowfullscreen" value="true" /><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always" /><param name="movie" value="http://vimeo.com/moogaloop.swf?clip_id=3255332&server=vimeo.com &show_title=1&show_byline=1&show_portr ait=0&color=&fullscreen=1" /><embed src="http://vimeo.com/moogaloop.swf?clip_id=3255332&server=vime
    ]

    object width="872" height="480"><param name="allowfullscreen" value="true" /><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always" /><param name="movie" value="http://vimeo.com/moogaloop.swf?clip_id=3255332&server=vimeo.com &show_title=1&show_byline=1&show_portr ait=0&color=&fullscreen=1" /><embed src="http://vimeo.com/moogaloop.swf?clip_id=3255332&server=vime

    <object width="872" height="480"><param name="allowfullscreen" value="true" /><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always" /><param name="movie" value="http://vimeo.com/moogaloop.swf?clip_id=3255332&server=vimeo.com &show_title=1&show_byline=1&show_portr ait=0&color=&fullscreen=1" /><embed src="http://vimeo.com/moogaloop.swf?clip_id=3255332&server=vimeo.com &show_title=1&show_byline=1&show_portr ait=0&color=&fullscreen=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowfullscreen="true" allowscriptaccess="always" width="872" height="480"></embed></object>

Please help, I've spent a lot of time trying to figure this out.

    here's is my blog - http://minnafoto.wordpress.com/

    Thanks

The blog I need help with is minnafoto.wordpress.com.

  2. In case anyone wants to know, here's how to do it -

1-First get Vimeo Plus for widescreen (it's $60, unfortunately)

2-then get Vodpod.com (it's free). Follow instructions and put their icon in your browser bar.

3-.go back to your uploaded vimeo video. Click on the VOD POD icon. A box will appear. Fill out if you want to.

4-in another browser tab have your wordpress dashboard up with the draft of your post

5-go back to the VODPOD box and click to send it to wordpress as a draft, or you can post it directly

6- so code will come up in a post box that will look like this -

    <span style="display:block;width:720px;margin:0 auto;"> [vodpod id=Groupvideo.2129677&w=720&h=393&fv=clip_id%3D3248332%26server%3Dvimeo.com%26autoplay%3D0%26fullscreen%3D1%26md5%3D0%26show_portrait%3D0%26show_title%3D0%26show_byline%3D0%26context%3Duser%3A1218328%26context_id%3D%26force_embed%3D0%26multimoog%3D%26color%3D00ADEF] <div style="font-size:10px;">

See where I have 720 and 393? Change those numbers for your desired height & width.

And then you'll have your video! Good luck

  3. minnafoto,
The blog connected to your name is not a WordPress.COM blog. Your question looks like it would be better asked over in WordPress.ORG. Anything with flash is not allowed here.
